WooCommerce NMI Gateway Integration

I need my existing WooCommerce store wired up to the NMI payment gateway so customers can purchase or renew subscription-based products without a hitch. I already have an active NMI merchant account; what’s missing is the clean, production-ready connection inside WordPress that can handle recurring charges, pass all required tokens, and return clear success or decline messages to the shopper.

Here’s the scope:

• Configure and connect the NMI API to WooCommerce, enabling Subscription billing (one-time payments or refunds are not part of this phase).
• Make sure recurring transactions post automatically and sync back to order notes.
• Build or tune any required webhooks/CRON so renewals run even if a customer isn’t on-site.
• Test in both NMI sandbox and live mode, verify card vaulting, and confirm that WooCommerce order statuses update correctly.
• Leave behind concise setup notes so I can replicate the integration on staging sites.
