Manage Community Water Well Build

Our village still relies on a single shallow borehole and the contamination there has led to frequent water-borne illnesses. We have already mobilised local volunteers and raised USD 1,600 to cover cement, bricks, water pipes, sand and the wages of on-site workers. What we lack is a seasoned professional who can take full ownership of project management and make sure the new protected well is delivered on time, on budget and—with laboratory confirmation—safe to drink.

Here is what I will need from you:
• A clear work plan with milestones, material quantities and a cost breakdown that fits the USD 1,600 we have in hand.
• Coordination of purchasing and transport of cement, bricks, pipes and sand from nearby suppliers.
• Day-to-day supervision of the digging, lining and sealing process, guiding our local masons so workmanship meets accepted standards.
• Weekly progress updates with photos or short videos that I can share with community leaders and donors.
• Final hand-over report including receipts, labour logs and a basic water-quality test showing the improvement over the existing borehole.

We are in a rural setting, so experience working with limited infrastructure and simple tools is essential. Familiarity with community-driven projects, groundwater safety guidelines and basic field testing kits will be a major advantage.
