I need my existing workbook to do more of the thinking for me. Right now each process is logged manually, but the column that should show who is responsible is blank. Your task is to insert the right data-analysis formulas so that, as soon as a process code or other key detail is entered, Excel automatically returns the correct “responsible” name.
You may lean on lookup combinations, conditional logic, or any other native functions that keep the file fast and easy to edit; lightweight VBA is acceptable only if a purely formula-based route proves impossible. The sheet layout should remain intact—no moving columns or renaming headers.
Deliverables
• Working formulas (or compact VBA) that populate the “Responsibility” field for every current and future row.
• Inline documentation inside the workbook summarising the logic.
• A quick test tab or sample data showing the solution handles typical scenarios without error.

Results must calculate instantly with no circular references, remain compatible with Excel 2019 and Microsoft 365, and require no add-ins or external links.
