Project Overview
I am looking for an experienced developer/devops professional to help me set up and deploy Listmonk using Docker and Docker Compose, and take it live for production use.
The objective is to build a fully functional, self-hosted email marketing system that is stable, secure, and optimized for sending outbound campaigns.
Scope of Work
1. Docker-Based Installation
Set up Listmonk using Docker and Docker Compose
Configure PostgreSQL database correctly
Ensure all services run reliably
2. Server & Deployment Setup
Deploy on VPS (AWS / DigitalOcean / similar)
Configure domain (e.g. mail.mycompany.com)
Set up reverse proxy (Nginx or similar)
Install SSL certificate (Let’s Encrypt)
3. Email Configuration (Critical)
Configure SMTP (Gmail / Amazon SES / SendGrid / other)
Ensure proper email sending setup
Configure bounce handling (if applicable)
4. Deliverability Setup (Very Important)
Configure:
SPF
DKIM
DMARC
Ensure emails land in inbox (not spam)
Basic warm-up guidance (optional but preferred)
5. Testing & Go-Live
Test full flow:
Campaign creation
Email sending
Delivery checks
Fix any issues before handover
6. Documentation & Handover
Provide simple documentation for:
Accessing dashboard
Running / restarting containers
Backup process
Optional: short walkthrough call
Expected Deliverables
Fully working Listmonk instance (live on domain)
Secure setup with SSL
Email sending fully configured
Verified deliverability setup
Basic documentation
Required Skills
Strong experience with Docker & Docker Compose
Experience with Listmonk (preferred) or similar tools
Knowledge of VPS deployment (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.)
Understanding of email systems & deliverability (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
Experience with reverse proxy (Nginx / Traefik)
Budget & Timeline
Budget: Open (please quote based on scope)
Timeline: Preferably within 2–5 days
Please include:
Your experience with Docker-based deployments
Any past work with Listmonk or email marketing systems
Your approach to ensuring email deliverability
Estimated timeline and cost
Any similar projects you have completed
